We are thrilled with ALL the things that are happening with us right now—we’ve just returned from South By Southwest, we’re releasing two singles (one from bassist Tony Webb and one from Bourgeoisie Paper Jam)—and we’re trying to maintain our podcast, blog, and YouTube channel. But I HAVE to admit that it IS quite a lot at one time. 🤷🏽‍♀️

But the truth is we WANT to take what we learned from our LAST record release—three years ago now (https://bit.ly/Ep136recrelstratsblog ) —and build on it for THIS one, so that we get MORE exposure and create more opportunities. However, GETTING more means DOING more, which requires more planning, more consistency, more focus, and, let’s face it, MORE WORK! 💥 🏃🏾‍♀️

BUT just as I am ready to throw up my hands and surrender to “doing things the way we’ve often done them,” I think about losing out on rewards that are open to us, if we just try one or two more things. 🤷🏽‍♀️ AND that keeps me motivated and moving along. 📝💰

—ALSO, I keep repeating my new affirmation—that “done is the new perfect”—so that I don’t overthink things and that I just keep DOING. The thought is that overthinking is exhausting and can stop me from doing stuff even before I start. But just constantly DOING things—no matter what the “quality” or the outcome will get us further E V E R Y TIME! 💥👏🏾
