A Bit About Her Blogging Process:

  • The iPhone is her go-to tool and uses the voice memo and notes apps, especially.

  • Often, she researches the setlists in advance of the show (using the website ).

  • Usually, uses the “immersion” process, where her and her husband listen to a lot of a band’s music online before interviewing them and/or before attending their concerts.

  • More recently, uses the TEMI Transcription website ( ) to get quick, cost-effective transcripts of interviews.

Background the Led to Blogging:

  • Began as a journalist.

  • Always loved music. (Thanks, in part, to big brother Steve.)

  • Started attending concerts 10 years ago for fun.

  • Mentor told her to document these experiences through a blog (which she started 3 years ago).

  • Over time, she has changed her focus from simply sharing her experiences and love for the music to beginning to shine the spotlight on telling each band’s story and on showcasing their creativity.
