Blinders can be handy ರ◡ರ....

—And And I don’t know WHY, but I have been having a hard time listening to Creative Juice 🧃 podcast lately. 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s PROBABLY because I have NOT wanted to be reminded of the To Do items related to our band, Bourgeoisie Paper Jam. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s really ALL I CAN DO to keep that newer part of our creative empire afloat, so to hear that I am miles and years BEHIND on ALL the shit to do and to be done DOESN'T feel good and makes me fold up my table and fucking NOT DO A DAMN thing! —And THAT'S not productive! 🙄

Blinders, Man!

—So, INSTEAD, I have to take the mindset that I am going to fucking JUST go down a list I made when I was cogent and motivated, and to JUST get some simple things done. —Like get the weekly song clip up and post something to the social media groups once a week, and respond to all comments and shares brought in through the funnel. 😬🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾 Right now, THAT'S all I feel like I can handle, so that even this idea of another album release is just a little daunting. 😳 I mean, I LOVE the music and am having fun shaping the narrative and ideas AROUND an album, but to ACTUALLY follow the process that we’re “supposed to” to get the motherfucker out sounds arduous and exhausting. 🙄

So….

So, while putting together the episodes for Gab & Jam and the blog have become almost effortless, I STILL freak out when it’s time to formalize this next release. 😬😳 BUT I KNOW it HAS to be done, so I am getting my head around a simplified list right now. The goal, in fact, is to have a new album out at the beginning of 2023–it would be a funk follow up to Sugar Fit (and would be released all at once)—and maybe even another album of world-inspired songs that would slow drip over the course of the next year. 😳🤷🏽‍♀️🙌🏾😬 That second album is pretty much done—save the name, and art, and title track—but the funk album, trust me, isn’t far behind. 😊💡🙌🏾

But what about the book?!

—-Oh, and of course, ALL of this is on top of finishing up our first book. —Oh, and as we prep for Podmas. ALSO, we’re heading to Los Angeles for the Taxi Road Rally for the first time ever, so it’s an extremely busy season. But I KNOW that, if I just stick to the list that we ORIGINALLY put together—and try to block out all the outside chatter—MOST of it, echoing my OWN insecurities, by the way—I will be fine and can AT LEAST accomplish SOMETHING—instead of becoming overwhelmed and not doing ANYTHING (which has happened in the past). 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️📝😬
