Fuse together many musical styles? Why, yes.
Run a multi-platform blog? Of course.
Expect everyone to “get it”? Well, not really. Let us explain…
Whether they ask or not, we think most people are curious about what a “Prejippie” is. We have spent years either ignoring our responsibility to explain—ala, if you are “with” it, then you will know—or sometimes we have not taken the time to articulate it properly. One of the things we are learning is that we need to be clear on our vision and we need to be able to communicate it quickly and accurately to everyone. So, we’re on a mission to do better at that.
But, you see, we know not everyone is going to “get it.” Just like not everyone “gets” mixing odd patterns and clashing colors, not everyone will “get” us. Like not everyone “gets” that our passion fuels our purpose and that we are not simply seeking payment. Not everyone gets that we are multi-varied intentionally, but that being so was created organically. We were simply “born this way” is the way Lady Gaga would say it. Nope, there was no formula to our sound –except a potpourri of influences deep and wide enough to swim in. Therefore, it stands to reason that we are not easily “gotten.” And, you know what? We’re okay with that.

That’s why we’re looking for those discerning few; the listener who sifts relentlessly through studio outtakes and rare B-sides. The devotees who have found us have not been sold on us from some corporate commodified campaign. The individuals who find us had a longing in their soul for the kind of music that we make, searched through music across all genres and from different cultures, and found something that would fill that audible void. We are sure that a taste of our music will be like savoring dark chocolate kisses melting in their mouths. That’s the kind of joy we bring for the ones that “get” us.
