Rock Star Rewind: Fell for Fall? (November 2019)

There’s plenty to go around…

The more we do, the more we realize that opportunities to spread our message and our music are literally everywhere! And that we are only limited by the amount of energy and effort that we decide to put into tapping into—or even creating—the opportunities for what we want to do.

Falling for Fall?

….So…. what happened between all this wonderful noticing of all the fantastic opportunities that surround us, planning to do things about it, and actually executing that plan???? Well, the best we can figure is that fall happened. What do we mean? Well, the days got shorter, the leaves are changing color, there’s a chill in the air, and our schedules changed and things got weird. –Mostly good weird, but sometimes the change alone is enough to through off that human part of the operation; we will freely admit that. So, in the midst of having that “We’re here to crush it!” mentality, we end up sipping hot chocolate on the couch and napping a little more frequently, and before we knew it, the month of September was over and done! Damn!

Here's a look at our latest Gab & Jam.

What Happened?

It’s not as if we were doing NOTHING—we were maintaining those song (and song clip) a week postings, cranking out the Gab & Jam episodes, pre-planning for Blog-vember, chipping at, like, a gazillion blog posts (that remain unfinished as of this post), and even started what we hope is the first blog feature post in our Be the Next D.I.Y. Rock Star Growth Hack series, so there are have been some things happening. It’s just that we will freely admit that our paced slowed with the weather…. We also speculate that PART of the problem was realizing that we are playing the long-game and that life needs to co-exist with all the Music Biz and Blog-related activities…. That means that taking time out to savor the moment is an expected percentage of our success quotient. So maybe there was much more of that taking time out than we realized???

Here's our first ever Music Biz Growth Hacks post.

What Now?

Time to take inventory on what actually got done, look at the things we want to do, and re-draft the priority list. (See the “Getting Sh*t Done” post for more on this process.) So, yes, we still have plans for world domination. It’s just that we’ve got to stop and take a few evening strolls among the leaves in there; that’s all. That’s it.
