Rock Star Rewind: Who Laid an Egg? Easter Re-birth…. (June 2019)

We Laid an Egg . . .

Even when we’ve had to take a breather in the whirlwind of activity, we still have our goals as the focus. However, we stopped to acknowledge what we considered our re-birth…..

First of all, the frigging treadmill went down…. We decided to get a more industrious one, but that takes a week to happen, so I have been thrown off of my routine. –I would be mad, but the scale has been particularly kind to me (which probably means that I NEEDED to switch up what I was doing, so that my body could shed some excess fat). –However, I have been NOT posting as much as I am used to—since that 40 minutes of treadmill time in the morning provided that perfect opportunity to engage more fully with Facebook groups and to show up more often on Twitter and on Instagram.

–But the best thing about HAVING to take a break in the robotic action is that I have had to find new ways to spend that time. While it hasn’t allowed me to stay as active as I would have liked, it has made me stop and take a look at doing things differently. I have gone down new rabbit holes and have discovered people and resources that I think we can partner with to further both our collaborators’ goals, as well as to further our own. And I do not think I would have spotted these opportunities had I not been torn away from the usual routine. I was forced to re-imagine how I would spend this time and in turn, found some new and different ideas to excite our process. I decided that this death to the tradition—albeit a short break in the action—was enough to generate new ideas about what needed attention and to discover more allies in our journey to artistic empowerment. We’ve decided to spend more time building a bridge toward our music business conference speaking vision (which had been put on-hold for the post year). –Plus, we finally stopped and completed some vocal tracks that had been lingering and re-visited that email course (that I started nearly a year ago).

So, while this has been a time of pivoting—which brings with its share of uncertainty and questioning one’s own next moves—we have used it to approach our next year’s goals from a different direction. What I’m trying to say is that I think this shift will be a good thing…. But, in the meantime, an egg was laid (while we sat around and scratched our heads this Easter).

Having said that, we have appreciated all the support that we have gotten from you all. And if there is any way we can be of service to you, drop us an email and let us know.
