Rock Star Rewind: Bees making honey . . . (April 2019)

Rock Star Rewind March 2019 --Blooming Prejippie Zine

Productive; not just busy…

II promise you, we are NOT confusing being busy with being productive…..In fact, I have given myself permission to plan forward whatever did NOT get accomplished from the rather massive list that we’d compiled. (Better to shoot for the moon, because even if you miss, you’ll hit the stars, right?) I think I can safely say that we hit the stars…. I TRY to be sure that everything we do moves our needle closer to our LARGEST goal (which is to establish ourselves as authorities in our field and to grow our audience on all sides of the aisle—Blooming Prejippie, Prejippie Music Group, and PMG Cool+Quirky Custom Music). After gathering this list of what was done, it is clear how each activity helps undergird our mission. Since we do these monthly round-ups to help us stop and smell the roses, evaluate what’s working and what’s not, and plan what to do better (or more of), I won’t be spending a lot of time analyzing it for you. I will let the body of work speak for itself (with a few, brief observations thrown in).

Expanding our Tribe:

One of our goals was to reach out and join with other folks who are doing rock star stuff. To that end, this month, we:Guest posts from other bloggers (Anselm’s review of “Late”) Welcomed first ever in-studio guest, Lori Stratton of Stratton Setlist on Gab & Jam (video-- https://youtu.be/yjiyJNYUZ_Y and audio-- http://bit.ly/2VuzmR1 ), where she shared insights on her journey to becoming a music blogger and for what she looks for when deciding which bands to go see and feature in her blog.

Here's our first in-studio guest ever, Lori Stratton, a music blogger who runs Stratton Setlist.com.

More IRL Networking:

Another important goal has been to connect with more people in person (which had been a weakness for decades). We are happy that we are doing something about that, but OMG! SXSW in less than 2 weeks.

We’ll be doing:
